"Our history was disappearing as quickly as we were making it". Film With Pride celebrates LGBT History Month with a screening of The Archivettes, a touching, funny and revealing documentary about the world's only Lesbian Herstory Archive. Women's stories are often overlooked at the best of times, but when the archive started there was an urgent need to save information and artifacts before they were erased by the pervading homophobic culture of 70's America. Director Megan Rossman developed the film after exploring similar themes in her award winning short film "Love Letter Rescue Squad" and it is truly a celebration of collaborative working and intergenerational respect at its best.
