Greener Henley are delighted to present the universally acclaimed documentary 'Honeyland' followed by a live panel discussion as part of The Great Big Green Week. A woman utilises ancient beekeeping traditions to cultivate honey in the mountains of North Macedonia. When a neighbouring family tries to do the same, it becomes a source of tension as they disregard her wisdom and advice. The documentary received numerous awards and nominations at film festivals, including three awards at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and two nominations at the 92nd Academy Awards in the categories for Best International Feature Film and Best Documentary Feature. Honeyland is the first documentary to receive a nomination in both categories in the history of the Oscars. Green Screen is a community-led space to discuss environmentally-focused cinema, with expert panels and friendly post-screening discussions.
