A lonely freshman in New York City, Tracy (Lola Kirke) is having trouble adjusting to college life. Her solitude is disrupted when she meets her soon-to-be stepsister, Brooke (Greta Gerwig). Tracy is immediately entranced by Brooke and her lifestyle: Brooke's impetuous, adventurous and popular, full of life and energy, and she begins to rope Tracy into her alluring – and increasingly ridiculous – schemes.
