In this remake of the classic 1932 horror film, Brendan Fraser stars as Rick O'Connell, an American mercenary who leads a treasure-seeking expedition to the Sahara Desert in 1925, only to stumble upon an ancient tomb where he unwittingly sets loose the reincarnation of an Egyptian priest who had been sentenced to an eternity of living death 3,000 years ago.
