It's also the central suspicion of Teddy (Jesse Plemons), a solitary beekeeper and conspiracy theorist, who kidnaps a powerful pharmaceutical CEO (Emma Stone) in hopes of exposing her as an extraterrestrial. True to Lanthimos’ dark humour and flair for satirical hyperbole, Bugonia (2025) is a rollicking ride from scepticism to conviction, posing some of the most urgent questions of our post-truth era.
