PLEASE: A short film raising awareness
A Coldharbour Films production, PLEASE is an emotive spoken word short film exploring the hidden realities of abuse, grooming, and the cycles that put young people at risk. Told through the voice of Ell, a safeguarding professional and poet, the story follows a 13-year-old girl whose vulnerability is exploited by an adult man. With raw honesty and lyrical power, the film sheds light on the impact of abusive households, the silence that surrounds these issues, and the urgent need for change. At its heart, PLEASE is a call to action — a plea for adults, communities, and society to truly listen, to protect children, and to break the cycles that allow harm to continue. More than a spoken word piece, it is an invitation to meaningful discussion, awareness, and collective responsibility for safeguarding the future. PLEASE exclusive screening will also include live performances and a panel discussion. @Laurynxnadine @Coldharbour.films www.coldharbourfilms.com
