4th Estate Partnership: Almost Famous

To celebrate 25 years of Almost Famous and the publication of writer and director Cameron Crowe's memoir, The Uncool, we have partnered with publishers 4th Estate on a special one-off screening of the film that was based on Cameron's own life. The Uncool is the long-awaited memoir from legendary Rolling Stone journalist and acclaimed filmmaker of Jerry Maguire, Say Anything... and Almost Famous. Born in 1957 to parents who strictly banned rock and roll from their house, he dove headfirst into the world of music and was already contributing to Rolling Stone magazine when he graduated high school at 15. He has interviewed and toured with icons like Led Zepplin; Lynyrd Skynyrd; Bob Dylan; Crosby, Still Nash & Young; and Fleetwood Mac. The Uncool is a touching and joyful dispatch from a lost word, a chronicle of the real-life events that became Almost Famous and a coming-of-age journey filled with music legends as you've never seen them before. As part of this one-off screening, cinema attendees will receive merch inspired by The Uncool. Copies of The Uncool will also be on sales in the foyer on the night of screening.
