To celebrate one of our favourite films of the year, we're thrilled to welcome co-writers and stars Tim Key and Tom Basden, alongside director James Griffiths, back to Picturehouse for a very special screening of The Ballad of Wallis Island. The creative team will discuss the film live on stage, as it plays on the big screen: think of it as an in-person DVD commentary! An utter delight of a homegrown comedy, The Ballad of Wallis Island follows eccentric lottery winner Charles (Tim Key), who dreams of getting his favourite band back together. His fantasy becomes real when the musicians (Tom Basden, Carey Mulligan) and ex-lovers agree to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. But soon, old tensions resurface, and Charles must desperately salvage his dream gig.
