LIVETWIST COMEDY NIGHT: HUMAN LIVE SHOW

LiveTwist Comedy Night: Live Show Picture this: an out-of-this-world line-up of comedians will deliver laughs aplenty to two crowds in one night – at the exact same time, halfway across the city, looking exactly like they're there in person. “But how?” we hear you ask… Boldly go where no comedy fan has gone before, as a genuine world-first live experience comes exclusively to Picturehouse: introducing LiveTwist’s Hologram Comedy night! Our comedy pros will be beamed across London from our Finsbury Park Club Room (where they’ll perform in the flesh) to Hackney Picturehouse using top-of-the-line hologram technology (where you won’t believe your eyes). Baffled? Bewildered? Mind blown? You’ve just got to see it for yourself – don’t miss a minute of what lies in store. Please note that the LiveTwist event taking place here at Finsbury Park will be a live comedy show (no holograms, just good laughs). The event taking place at Hackney Picturehouse will be broadcast live using holograms. Before booking, make sure you double-check the event listing. LINE-UP: Michael Shafar: Originally from Melbourne, Michael is now based in London, where he has quickly become one of the most exciting new acts on the UK comedy circuit. You’re likely to be one of the 100+ million people who have seen his videos online. Mary Bourke: A regular at major comedy clubs across the UK, before Mary became a stand-up comedian, she was a burlesque dancer and choreographer in San Francisco. She now lives in leafy Buckinghamshire with a large collection of Betty Page memorabilia. Ali Woods: Ali is a half-English, half-Scottish comedian, podcaster and content creator. Along with a second sell-out Edinburgh Fringe run in 2023, Ali’s wonderful blend of comedy with a heart saw him win Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2020, and appear on BBC Radio 4, TalkRadio, TalkSport and more. MC – David Whitney: Born in Aberdeen to a military family and trained at the Drama Centre, David spent years pursuing his love of theatre and Shakespeare – but after telling a string of lies to impress an agent, he found himself performing his very first stand-up comedy gig at the Friars Club in Beverly Hills. He’s never looked back, and now regularly plays some of the biggest clubs in the country.
